EJ 6 : Infrastructure

We are given this task on our second lecture class to relate on the environmental issues and ways to overcome it. I did the topic of global warming because apparently global warming has become the most talked-about environmental issue today as global warming has seen as a major problem around the world.

On this task, we have to sketch our art sculpture by using recycled materials. The first sketch is a table lamp. The shade is made of the bottom part of plastic bottles. This lamp can also be a décor as it sets a lovely delicate mood!

The second sketch is a chandelier. It is also made of bottles. Just imagine those bottles with icicle lights in it!

I’ve always wondered who is the genius that invents the world most successful and amazing creation---Airplane. Throughout this task, I’ve learnt that Wright Brothers were the one credited with inventing and building the world's first successful airplane and making the first controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air human flight. I’ve also learnt how does the airplane change throughout the year.

II chose solar power as a way to overcome global warming because first, solar power is renewable. Second, it is non-polluting; it does not create greenhouse effect. Last but not least, it only requires very little maintenance, as it has no moving part.

From this task, I’ve learnt what is infrastructure and how importance is infrastructure to us.

EJ 7: Rural

Kota Samarahan is the administrative seat of the Samarahan District in Samarahan Division, Sarawak, east Malaysia. It is located about 30 kilometers from Kuching. From this task, I’ve gained a lot of extra knowledge of rural area; besides, it also helped me with my water colouring skills.

EJ 8 :Suburban

Kuching, rainforests and rivers overflowing with life, a legacy of adventure, and friendly local people, Borneo is the favorite destination of many visitors to Malaysia. The city of Kuching is the capital of the Malaysian state of Sarawak and the usual entry point into Borneo for travelers coming from mainland Malaysia.
