BUSINESS PLAN PRESENTATION
For this assignment, we were required to form a group with a maximum of 4 members to talk and brainstorm about the nature of business that we would like to start. Based on our discussion, we have to present our business plan in a 10-minute presentation with powerpoint or prezi. In this assignment, i've formed a group of 4 with Tan Ling Rong as our leader, Lim Jern Jack and Kelvin Yong.

Reflections:
Throughout this assignment, i've definately understand more about different types of business. Every business has their own way to start, manage and maintain their business. It is very important to brainstorm and plan before we start a business in an effective way without ruin it. I've also understand and evaluate the roles of human resources management, marketing, production and finance in a business. A business won't work out without a good management team.
Charity drive was our final project. It was held on our week 17, 2nd to 6th of June. By forming a group of four with Jerry, Angoline and Jia Jian, we were selling buns, popsicles, ans sodas. We decided to raise funds for the World Vision. World Vision is an international Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes ofpoverty. They serve all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender.

Reflection:
It was a fun experiance and a great opportunity for me to learn how to set up and running a business by applying all the concepts learnt like setting goal of our business, planning strategies in order to beat our competitors. As a shy person, it really does boost up my courage as well as my communication skills when i was trying to advertise and introduce our products to custumer. Although there were many difficulties like when we were rejected by custumer, walking up and down around the campus carrying our products and ended up tired like zombie. However i was really glad that we managed to overcome the obstacles and earned a net profit of RM2000 and donated it to the World Vision.

An organization can be structured in many different ways, depending on their objectives. The structure of an organization will determine the modes in which it operates and performs. It also allows the expressed allocation of responsibilities for different functions and processes to different entities such as the branch, department,workgroup and individual.

Management Process
We were required to do slides or prezi on the management process of our chosen business and to prepared a brief presentation.
Management process is a process of planning and controlling the organizing and leading execution of any type of activity
There are 3 parts to planning:
1) Setting a goal – what do you want to achieve?
2) Develop a strategy – how do you achieve your goal?
3) Determine your tactics – what are the specific details involved in the strategy?

REFLECTION ESSAY
Business class was one of my favourite subject so far as I've got to learnt about the basic knowledge of business such as management process, 5p's and organization structure as well as gaining real-life business experiences as we are given a chance to run our own business around the campus in order to raise funds for the chosen charity drive organization. This subject is really useful for our future especially when we we are going to start off our own business.
From the group works that Mr Joe has given, no matter if it was a class activities or group projects, i have learned 3 valuable lessons. First of all, we learn more about the content , as in understand the business concept in a creative and different ways. Whether or not we are working on problems that we have faced through assignments, or discussing on our group activities, when we work together on content, we can master the basics. Besides, when we work in a group we are figuring things out for ourselve rather than having the lecturer tell us what they need to know. We will not be relying too much on our lecturer.
Second, i've learned and now know how to work with others. Group work helps me to learn how to work with people that i am not always comfortable with such as people outside our circle of friends, including those who have different backgrounds and experiences. I have even learned how to work with those who are disagree with me, and others they might not “like” my idea. In this case, i have learned to compromise and listen to other group members' opinion. Nevertheless, a good team work is very important to completed and achieved a good grades for our assignment.
Next, from the group works that were given my Mr Joe, i find the final project are the most interesting, fun and challenging one. Not only we have to earn RM2000 net profit in a week, well, not even a week, 5 days to be exact. We also have to brainstorm on what we should sell in that charity week in order to achieve our goal. The marketing tactics, management process and other business concepts are very useful in this assignment. Appying the management process that consist of plan, organize, lead and control in our project to avoid or prevent the chances of business failure. We cannot start off our business without a good plan and goal. Backup plan B C D and so on will overcome problems in business as well as ensuring smooth-running of the business.
In conclusion, i really enjoy the extra knowledges that this module has given me. I would also like to thanks Mr Joe for his humor and given so much efforts to make the class more interesting and fun so that we will not feel sleepy and bored in his class.
